The Wimslow Booking Terms and Conditions 

We run an adult only guest house - this means over eighteens only.  People who turn up with children will be asked to leave immediately and we will charge for the full amount of the booking.

By making your booking, you enter into a legal contract with us.  A deposit is required to secure each room (please ask for more information).  All bookings must be secured with either a debit or credit card.  Please read our terms and conditions below, before booking.

Cancellation - If You cancel Your Booking and it is more than 14 Days before Your check-in date, We will refund You Your deposit.  * Otherwise You will lose Your deposit. *

*example if a room is booked for arrival on 19th of April, a cancellation on, or before the 5th of April will entitle a refund of deposit.

At our discretion and very much dependent on season and demand, it may be possible to reschedule the booking, but this is by no means guaranteed.

No Show - if you do not arrive on the day your booking starts and we have heard nothing from you, you will owe the outstanding balance as we will have not been given sufficient notice to enable us to re-let the room.

Non-availability of Accommodation - We would only cancel your holiday if your accommodation was unavailable for reasons beyond our control. We would however attempt to offer you alternative accommodation.  If this was not possible, or unacceptable to you, then we would refund all monies paid by you for the holiday. Our liability would not extend beyond this refund. 

Arrival - Your accommodation will be ready from 5pm on the day of arrival, unless otherwise arranged (please refer to our arrival information on the website for more information). We may not be able to accommodate you if you arrive earlier than the agreed time as we will be busy preparing rooms etc.  Please ensure you contact us no later than 7pm to let us know if you will be arriving late.  Please also refer to 'No Show' above. 

Departure - Please be ready to vacate your room by 10am on the day of departure, unless otherwise arranged. 

Damages, Breakages & No Smoking Policy - Anyone found to have smoked in any part of the building will be asked to leave immediately.  There will also be a soiling charge of £100 to cover the extensive sanitisation required to eradicate the smell of smoke.  

We have a No Naked Flames Policy to adhere to the requirement for a safe environment for all our guests.  This covers use of lighters and candles and any other object/material that requires a naked flame within the building.  This is to avoid either ourselves or ours guests becoming a sad fire statistic.  We forgo the romance of candlelight and we ask our guests to do likewise in consideration of others.

We accept usual wear and tear of the fabric of the building, but any damage and/or soiling of rooms and communal areas will be charged for at the full amount of repair and/or replacement plus the time incurred to put right these damages. We do not normally charge for minor breakages, but we reserve the right to charge the credit or debit card used to pay the deposit for any significant damage or breakage.  If you leave without telling us of any damage/soiling we will make an additional charge of £80, to help cover for the period of time whilst making good the damage, when we cannot re-let the room.

Personal Conduct - We reserve the right to terminate Your booking immediately without being liable for any refund or compensation where You engage in unacceptable behaviour, or cause nuisance and/or disturbance to other guests. 

Hen And Stag Groups - We do not accept Hen and/or Stag groups.  If your booking is found to be a Hen or Stag group at any time during your stay, the booking will be terminated immediately on the basis of your misrepresentation and no refund will be given.   To book for any other single-sex groups please contact us by phone.   

Liability - We do not accept any liability for any damage, loss or injury to any member of your party or any vehicles or possessions, unless proven to be caused by a negligent act by ourselves or our employees or contractors whilst acting in the course of employment. 

Privacy Policy - Any data collected during the course of this booking will be stored on our computer(s).  We will not share your details with any third party.  We do not keep card details on our computers.
